One of the quirks of the NFL is fans looking out for scores that have never happened in the competition's history.
Known as 'Scorigami', a unique NFL scoreline tends to occur around seven times each season, though that rate should drop steadily as remaining scores get filled.
Of course, it's nigh-on impossible for every possible score to be achieved; for example it's no longer possible to score one point in an NFL game, meaning the lowest possible Scorigami is 4-0, achieved via two safeties.
That in itself is unlikely to ever be achieved, and the next lowest-scoring game featuring a shutout is 46-0, itself highly improbable. A team would likely need four seven-point touchdowns and six field goals.
The next lowest shutout is 50-0, requiring five seven-point touchdowns and five field goals.
The Chicago Bears beat the Carolina Panthers 59-37 on the opening weekend of the 2026 NFL season in the latest Scorigami, and while it might be a little while before we see a 60-37 or a 59-38, there are plenty of unique scores that are more within reach.
There have been 25 points scored in lots of games, typically via two seven-point touchdowns, an eight-point touchdown and a field goal, and dozens of games with 18 points scored, typically via one field goal with a seven-point and eight-point touchdown, or more rarely six field goals, but interestingly, there's never been a 25-18 in NFL history.
Somewhat surprisingly, 18-9 has never been the final score of an NFL game, with nine points achieved either by a seven-point touchdown and a safety (a safety occurring itself roughly once every two weeks) or three field goals.
Fifteen points isn't particularly uncommon, achieved either via a seven- and eight-point touchdown, or five field goals, with 32 points also a relatively common total, via three seven-point TDs, one eight-point touchdown and one field goal, though no NFL game has ever finished 32-15.
One potential upcoming Scorigami is 36-23, achieved by five seven-point touchdowns and two field goals versus two seven-point touchdowns and three field goals.
