The Perth Scorchers are sweating over the fitness of star allrounder Mitch Marsh for the BBL11 final after he picked up a hamstring niggle in the win over the Sydney Sixers on Saturday night.
The Scorchers demolished the Sixers by 48 runs at Marvel Stadium and are priced at 4/6 to go on and win BBL11 after booking their place in next Friday's final.
However there are some concerns over the fitness of Marsh who has picked up a hamstring niggle and could face a race to prove his fitness for the final.
Marsh scored 28 runs in the win over the Sixers but did not field as the Scorchers skittled their way through the opposition on the way to a comfortable win.
Scorchers coach Adam Voges did not sound too concerned about the injury and it looks as though Marsh did not field just as a precaution more than anything else.
"Just a bit of tightness from what I can understand," Voges said. "I had a good chat with our physio and he seems to think it's at the minor end of some tightness.
"All his strength testing was pretty good, so (it was) cautionary to not put him on the field. We'll monitor him over the next little bit and hopefully he'll be okay."
Meanwhile captain Ashton Turner is also hopeful Marsh will be able to take his place in the side in next week's final.
"He's a superstar, and he's playing beautifully at the moment," Turner added. "He's not the only player on our team but we're a better team with him in it.
"I'd suggest it would have to be pretty bad for Mitch to not play in the final."
