SAW have announced sweeping changes to their CS:GO roster in the aftermath of a 3-2 defeat to FTW in the domestic championship, Master League Portugal IX Finals.
The organization cited a feeling of stagnation as the main reason behind the radical decision to make line-up changes. Meanwhile, Echo are 4/6 to win the MDI GLobal Finals, with Perplexed at 8/1.
The latest setback was their second loss to their local rivals in the last two months. The roster move will only come in place after ESL Challenger S41, where the Portuguese team has qualified for the playoffs.
The team which has been together for over two years and nearly qualified for the PGL Major Antwerp is now breaking apart and restructuring with AWP Renato "stadodo" Goncalves, rifler Omar "arki" Chakkor, and coach Rui "vts" Soares set to depart the line-up shortly.

The organization sent several thank you's to the departing players, saying
"Present in practically all competitions, stadodo and arki contributed to the great success of the entire team, having taken on important roles over the last few years and helping to carry the SAW emblem around the world.
"Along with vts, who took charge in early 2022 after leaving Alm, was also responsible for the team's early results during the first five months, which included the team's historic presence at PGL RMR Europe, and its contribution to roster development."
The run at the RMR remains one of the best results SAW had in the last two years, before reaching the No.21 spot in the world rankings at the start of 2021 following a runner-up finish at DreamHack Open December in the prior year.

Christopher "MUTiRiS" Fernandes
Tiago "JUST" Moura
