Savinho potential next club; Winger tells City he wants exit

Manchester City winger Savinho has told the club that he wants to leave this summer.

The 22-year-old made his way to the Etihad in 2024 after starring for Spanish outfit Girona -- also owned by the City Football Group -- where he netted nine goals and added a further 10 assists as his side finished third in La Liga.

After initial success in England, Savinho saw his game time dramatically reduced throughout the 2025/26 campaign, making just seven Premier League starts.

Frustrated by his lack of time spent on the pitch, the former Bordeaux man has informed City of his desire to seek a new challenge elsewhere this summer. With that in mind, we take a look at which clubs might be interested in the Brazilian...

Premier League

Tottenham Hotspur

According to reports, Savinho has told City that he wants to join Tottenham Hotspur.

Now, whilst doesn't guarantee that the wide-man will definitely sign for Spurs, it does make them clear frontrunners to acquire his signature.

The North London outfit were heavily linked with a move for Savinho this time last year and they are in need of wide options given injuries to Xavi Simons and Wilson Odobert.

Liverpool

The void left by Mohamed Salah will be felt on several fronts at Anfield this season; especially if they fail to source an adequate replacement for their all-time top Premier League goalscorer.

Federico Chiesa is Liverpool's only natural option off the right and there are huge doubts around his own future this season.

Savinho would provide a perfect solution to their right-wing void and, if they really need it, he can very comfortably operate on the opposite flank if needed.

Arsenal

Despite picking up Christos Tzolis for a not too insignificant £34m, the Gunners -- similarly to Liverpool -- are in need of more depth in wide areas.

Leandro Trossard has left the Emirates, Bukayo Saka has been hamstrung by persistent injury issues and Max Dowman might not be up to a starting berth so soon; leaving Mikel Arteta potentially quite thin on the ground when faced with another gruelling fixture list.

Able to feature off the right and the left, Savinho would be a shrewd pickup for Arsenal - not withstanding the obvious annoyance it would cause to rival Spurs fans.
