Saudi Pro League Transfers Tracker: January window closed

The Saudi Pro League stole the headlines during the summer transfer window with their lavish spending and high-profile recruitment; we keep tabs of the latest deals during the winter window.

Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF) took over four of the country's top sides - Al-Ittihad, Al-Nassr, Al-Hilal and Al-Ahli - prompting an extensive recruitment drive from each of these clubs to attract some of the biggest names in the sport such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema with lucrative contracts.

The other 14 top-flight clubs which make up the Saudi Pro League also stepped up efforts to enhance their squads with stars from Europe, with the winter transfer window slamming shut on January 30th.

One of the major talking points from the Saudi Pro League this month was the future of Jordan Henderson, with the former Liverpool captain mutually terminating his contract with Al Ettifaq and joining Ajax on a two-and-a-half year deal.

Karim Benzema was another prominent figure reportedly seeking an exit from the Saudi Pro League, though the French striker has remained at Al-Ittihad.

We take a look at all of the recent transfers made by each of the 18 Saudi Pro League clubs, as well as the other well-known figures within their ranks.
