Jeddah Corniche Circuit plays host to the second race of the 2024 Formula One season this Saturday, with Max Verstappen looking to make it two from two in the Middle East. Teams think the slower tyre degradation might bring them closer to the dominant Dutchman in Saudi Arabia, but overtaking him may be a different story.

Lewis Hamilton, Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez have all won the Saudi Grand Prix once on the three occasions it has been held.
With the Red Bull duo having a victory each, it leaves the Austrian team with two triumphs from three races, more than any other constructor.
The lap length of the Jeddah Corniche Circuit is 6.174km (3.836 mi). This makes it the second longest circuit on the F1 calendar, behind Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.
Lewis Hamilton holds the lap record for the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix with a time of 1:30.734.
The track temperature is expected to be in the region of 35-38°C (95-100°F) prior to the race. Although, as the Saudi Grand Prix is a night race, it is expected to cool by 2-3°C as it progresses.
Temperatures in Jeddah are expected to be around 25-27°C (77-80°F) during the day sessions, with the air cooling to 22-26°C (72-79°F) for the evening sessions and the Grand Prix.
There is no rain forecast, and the moderate breeze from the northwest is not expected to cause problems or blow sand towards the circuit, due to its proximity to the Red Sea.
