Premier League Saturday Accumulator: Chelsea to finally fire in 40/1 acca

There are no less than eight Premier League fixtures taking place on Saturday and we have picked out a four-fold acca that, if successful, will pay out at 40/1.

In the 12:30 contest, Arsenal will be hoping to get themselves back on track after the midweek defeat to Manchester City as they travel to the West Midlands to take on Aston Villa.

Crystal Palace's trip to Brentford is one of six games that kick off at 15:00, along with Brighton's visit of Fulham, Bournemouth's clash with Wolverhampton and Everton's crucial home contest against Leeds.

The Citizens will be hoping to continue their impressive run of form when they head to Nottingham Forest, while Chelsea will be eager to put their Champions League loss to Borussia Dortmund behind them when they face rock-bottom Southampton at Stamford Bridge.

In the 17:30 match, Newcastle's final game before the EFL Cup final against Manchester United on 26th February will see them welcome Liverpool to St James' Park.

Saturday's four-fold acca:

Our four selections picked out make up an appealing accumulator at 40/1:

Everton to win @ 7/5

Wolverhampton to win to nil @ 13/8

Chelsea to win and over 2.5 total goals @ 6/5

Brentford to win to nil @ 2/1

Odds were correct at time of writing and are subject to change.

Toffees to claim crucial victory

WhatEverton v Leeds

OddsEverton 7/5, Draw 23/10, Leeds 2/1

Leeds look to be a club in dire straits following the sacking of Jesse Marsch and the inability to find a replacement since his departure, and they could be in for more misery on Saturday afternoon when they head to Merseyside.

Everton are much improved since the appointment of Sean Dyche, who guided his side to a 1-0 home victory over Arsenal in his first game in charge before suffering a 2-0 loss at Liverpool last time out.

Despite that defeat to the Reds, there were positives to take from the performance and the Toffees should relish a return to Goodison Park, a venue where the Whites have only picked up one win since 1990.

Leeds are without a league win since 5th November - a run of nine games - while their record of one away win from 11 top-flight assignments is the joint-worst in the division.

Wolves to shut down Bournemouth

WhereMolineux, Wolverhampton
When15:00, Saturday 18th February
OddsWolves 4/6, Draw 13/5, Bournemouth 5/1

Wolves have shown real improvement under manager Julen Lopetegui, who has picked up 13 points from his seven league matches at the helm to help his side out of the relegation zone and up to 15th.

The Black Country outfit have won their last two matches - beating Liverpool 3-0 and Southampton 2-1 - while three of the five home assignments across all competitions under the former Sevilla boss have resulted in wins to nil.

An emphasis has certainly been put on a greater defensive solidity and that should help them pick up another victory with a clean sheet when Bournemouth, who are a point from safety, visit.

The Cherries have not won in their last nine across all competitions and they have drawn blanks in their last five away encounters, all of which have ended in defeat (one in the EFL Cup and four in the Premier League).

Blues to catch fire

WhatChelsea v Southampton
WhereStamford Bridge, Chelsea
When15:00, Saturday 18th February
OddsChelsea 2/5, Draw 15/4, Southampton 15/2

Graham Potter is enduring a difficult time at Chelsea and his side's profligacy in front of goal has been clear for all to see, as they have failed to score in five of their last eight across all competitions.

However, the Blues are creating opportunities in the final third and it only seems like a matter of time before everything starts to click in attack, which could mean bad news for Southampton.

The Saints are bottom of the table, without a manager following the sacking of Nathan Jones, have conceded the second-most goals in the league (40) and have kept just one clean sheet from 22 top-flight matches.

If ever there was a chance for Chelsea to rack up some goals and get back to winning ways, this is it.

Bees to keep momentum going

WhatBrentford v Crystal Palace
WhereGtech Community Stadium, Brentford
When15:00, Saturday 18th February
OddsBrentford 10/11, Draw 5/2, Crystal Palace 16/5

Brentford are enjoying another fantastic season and they can keep the momentum going in their pursuit of a European finish when they welcome struggling Crystal Palace to the Gtech Community Stadium.

The Bees are on a 10-game unbeaten run in the league and have kept clean sheets in four of their last six top-flight matches, shutting out West Ham, Bournemouth, Leeds and Southampton.

Up next is the visit of a Palace side that have only managed to score 20 league goals and are set to be without talisman Wilfried Zaha for a third straight outing.

The Eagles have drawn blanks in trips to Everton, Leicester, Newcastle, Nottingham Forest and Chelsea this term, and they are unlikely to get any change from a resolute Brentford team.
