It has not been an ideal start to 2023 from Bayern Munich but they got back on the winning trail last time out and are a solid bet to overcome lowly Bochum on Saturday.
There was a tangible anxiety in Bavaria after Julian Nagelsmann's side returned to Bundesliga action in January with three successive 1-1 draws but they showed their class with a 4-2 victory away to Wolfsburg last time out, putting them back on top of the pile.
January signing Joao Cancelo has made an immediate impact, giving the team more attacking thrust from the right side of their defence and it is no coincidence that Bayern netted four goals in each of the first two matches he has played for them.
Dayot Upamecano is set to return this week but Joshua Kimmich's absence through suspension will be a big blow and, although Bayern can rack up the goals against Bochum, they may struggle to keep the back door shut.
That enhances the appeal about backing a Bayern Munich win and both teams hitting the back of the net at 11/8 in Result/Both Teams to Score.

Odds | TSG Hoffenheim 15/8, Draw 13/5, Bayer Leverkusen 11/8 |
TSG Hoffenheim appointed American Pellegrino Matarazzo as their new manager this week after Andre Breitenreiter was sacked on Monday following a nine-game winless sequence.
First up for former Stuttgart head coach Matarazzo is a tough contest with Bayer Leverkusen and it is hard to see which way this one will go.
Leverkusen have made serious strides under Xabi Alonso but defeats to Borussia Dortmund and Augsburg in the last couple of weeks have set them back and they are worth swerving at 11/8, especially as Hoffenheim could be in high spirits with a new manager in the dugout.
But while the match result is tough to pinpoint, this game is likely to be full of goals.
Leverkusen have scored in 13 of their 19 league matches this term, while Hoffenheim's five competitive matches since returning from the winter break have featured a total of 24 goals. Back over 2.5 goals at 4/6 in the Goals Over/Under market.
What | Freiburg v Stuttgart |

Odds | Freiburg 4/5, Draw 14/5, Stuttgart 10/3 |
One of the season's surprise packages before the Qatar World Cup, SC Freiburg have blown hot and cold in 2023 but should be able to grind out a win at home to VfB Stuttgart.
This year the Black Forest club have picked up competitive wins over Augsburg and Sandhausen and held a strong Eintracht Frankfurt side to a 1-1 draw, but they also found themselves on the end of 6-0 and 5-1 defeats to Wolfsburg and Borussia Dortmund respectively.
However, it is worth noting that both of those heavy losses came on the road and at their Europa-Park Stadion home, Freiburg have won six of their nine league assignments this term.
With that in mind, they are a solid bet at 4/5 Full Time Result to see off Stuttgart, who have lost back-to-back games in the Bundesliga.

The Bundesliga title race is heating up and Saturday's evening kick-off features two of the teams looking to topple Bayern Munich - RB Leipzig and Union Berlin.
Since returning from the winter break, Union have strung together four straight league wins, while Leipzig are on an 18-match unbeaten run in all competitions.
Both are going incredibly well right now but the need to not drop points may outweigh the need to gain them at this stage.
With key forward Christopher Nkunku and creative outlet Dani Olmo both sidelined, Leipzig may also opt to take a more conservative approach to this contest, suggesting that the draw could be the best bet at 11/4 Full Time Result.
