Light heavyweight rivals Thiago Santos and Jamahal Hill square off in the main event at UFC Vegas 59 on Sunday.
Santos has been a fixture in the UFC ranks since 2013 and, having made his light heavyweight debut in 2018, he earned a title shot against Jon Jones the following year.
The Brazilian came away on the wrong side of a decision against Jones and has struggled to bounce back, winning just one of his following four trips to the Octagon.
Now aged 38, Santos, who is 9/4 to win on Sunday, needs to stop the slide to keep alive his slim hopes of getting back into the title frame.
Hill, meanwhile, is very much in the ascendancy and he's won four of his fights since joining the UFC in 2020, losing one and the other ending in a no contest.
He is riding a two-fight winning streak, climbing to #10 in the division, and is priced at 4/11 to make it three successive, at the expense of Santos.
Both of those triumphs have come via knockout for Hill, taking his overall record of wins by that route to six, while Santos is also a formidable striker and boasts 15 knockout victories.
UFC Vegas 59, headlined by Santos and Hill, takes place on Sunday 7th August, 2022.
The prelims are scheduled to get underway at 01:00 with the main card beginning at 03:00, while the main event between Santos and Hill should take place at around 05:00.
The UFC Apex in Nevada plays host to Sunday's card.
Yes, the preliminary card and main card are set to be broadcast live on BT Sport 1.
Hill has momentum on his side after winning his last two fights and he's set to go off as the 4/11 favourite on Sunday. The 31-year-old American has only tasted defeat once in his 12-fight career.
Santos has struggled to pick up victories of late and he can be backed at 9/4 to get back to winning ways.
