It's fair to say that however much rain actually arrives the going will not be drying out at all on a cracking card and focusing on those who relish plenty of give should yield positive results.
The Group 2 Minstrel Stakes over 7f has gone the way of the market leaders in recent times and with the underfoot conditions turning in his favour, and the distance perfect for him, Power Under Me can add this contest to his Group 3 win and three Listed successes.
He is kept only to soft conditions these days but put up a fine performance when third in this race two years ago. That was behind Order Of Australia, and there is nothing of his calibre in this field, and was on good ground, so better can be expected today after he really found his form last time.

The Memorial Stakes for fillies and mares is a Group 3 over 1m1f and although 3yos have won five of the last ten renewals they are probably underperforming against their elders as they have been accounting for a larger percentage of the runners.
Joseph O'Brien has had a winner and a 2nd, 3rd and 4th place finisher from five runners in the last four years and he always seems to have the sort of classy filly for this race.
Goldana can enhance that record with everything looking absolutely ideal for her. A German Listed winner, she looked very good on her stable debut when cosily winning a Group 3 here in April on heavy ground.
Since then she has failed to get to the leaders over a mile in a Group Two and then ran very respectably in the Group 1 Pretty Polly over 1m2f again on good ground.
The slight drop in trip, bigger drop in class and the return to softer conditions should combine to make her very tough to beat in this contest.
There doesn't seem to be a particular draw bias over sprint trips at the course, but being up with the pace is certainly an advantage and there will be a fierce pace battle here with several who like to get on with it in opposition.
That could always play into the hands of a closer of course but the threew winners of this contest so far were all up there throughout. They were also all 3yos.
The 4lb they receive in this contest seems to be telling, and the four of that generation running today could well hold the key again.
Parting Glass under very good 7lb claimer Sean D Bowen is proben on soft ground and still progressive after only six runs. After just failing to get home over 5 1/2f at navan last time the five here is sure to suit.
Polar Bear is likley to be popular for Jessie Harrington returning to something like his ideal conditions, but a horse who he beat last October might represent a bit of value.
Son Of Sampers was no match for Polar Bear over 6f last October but will be 9lb better off today and gets the services of top course jockey Colin Keane for the first time
He broke his maiden two outings ago and despite only finishing 6th last time, that was over 6f and he showed up well for a long way. His half-brother won the Prix Jean Prat in very soft ground and he can go well under a prominent ride.
