We analyse the credentials and statistics of Sam Gilley and Jack McGann as the British super-welterweight rivals contest a British and Commonwealth title showdown at Bethnal Green's York Hall on Friday night.
The super-welterweight triumvirate involving Sam Gilley, Louis Greene and Jack McGann resurfaces on Friday night at York Hall.
Already we have had Gilley v Greene and Greene v McGann, but it is Liverpool’s McGann who is yet to register a victory within the rivalry.
The odds are against him on Friday having received the opportunity at short notice.
But can McGann upset the Commonwealth 154lbs champion?
It's time to take a look at the tale of the tape…

Sam Gilley’s first promotional deal didn’t come until he was 30-years-old.
In August it was announced that the Commonwealth super-welterweight champion had joined the ranks at Queensberry Promotions.
It was another example of Gilley’s career going from strength to strength after defeating Louis Greene 12 months earlier in a typical York Hall classic.
Ironically, the Londoner was due to return in March and fight McGann but injury forced him to withdraw prompting Greene to step in and stop the Scouser in one round.
Greene now sees the next three years as the most important of his career, and will look to capitalise on the chance he’s been given with Queensberry.
Beating McGann is expected by many, but a year out of the ring could leave him vulnerable early on in the fight.
However, the former Southern Area and English champion looks to be a man, not just going down the traditional title route, but improving with age, and the experience from his win over Greene should serve him well against McGann.

If you are familiar with Jack McGann then you will be aware of his friendship with actor Tom Hardy.
Hardy, known for his love of combat sports, has sparred McGann on numerous occasions and sent him good luck videos before some of his fights - including one from the set of Peaky Blinders.
The story of McGann’s fighting career began in MMA but eventually switched to the sweeter science.
However, the British Boxing Board of Control wanted him to spar four rounds with trainer - and former world middleweight title challenger - Martin Murray to prove his worth before getting a licence.
Beating Sam Gilley, at short notice after an injury to Greene, isn’t beyond McGann but this could turn out to be a valuable learning experience regardless of what takes place on Friday night.
His knockout loss to Greene was devastating but the 31-year-old bounced back in June with a third round win against Lukasz Barabasz.
The victory wasn’t a surprise but the finish from McGann, firing out a crisp left hook to end the contest, proved his confidence hadn’t been affected too much from his first professional loss.
If McGann can come out of the Gilley fight with his reputation enhanced then we may just see ‘The Pilgrim’ following in the footsteps of Greene in the months and years ahead, and challenging for domestic honours.
