Gregor Townsend's Scotland side continue their tour of the Americas in the late hours of Friday as they take on the United States at Audi Field in Washington D.C.
The Scots began their tour with a thoroughly impressive 73-12 thrashing of Canada last weekend, with the likes of Arron Reed, Stafford McDowall, Jamie Dobie and Dylan Richardson all scoring their first tries for their country, as the visitors went over on eleven occasions.
The United States could provide sterner opposition given that they have suffered just one defeat across their last six internationals but their recent home record has been poor and they could fall to a heavy defeat in the capital.
Scotland -48 handicap @ 10/11
While Scotland's 2024 could have been better, Townsend will be generally happy with how his side has been performing so far in this calendar year and their deadly attack could shine once again against the United States in a heavy victory.
They won just two of their five Six Nations matches earlier this year but these results do not tell the full story, with a late potentially match-winning try controversially ruled out in a 20-16 defeat to France, as well as marginal losses to eventual winners Ireland and improving Italy.
The Scots looked back to their free-flowing best against Canada, and despite making wholesale changes, the returning combinations should have the familiarity to click quickly.
They will be brimming with confidence against a United States side that have faced hammerings in their last two meetings with top 10 nations, losing 104-14 and 71-10 to New Zealand and Ireland, respectively.
Many of the more inexperienced members of the Scotland squad showed their qualities against Canada last time out - with scrum-half Gus Warr grabbing a hat-trick on his debut as well as both Reed and Richardson getting over the line on two occasions - but Townsend has still decided to recall his regulars for this encounter.
The likes of Jamie Ritchie, who will be making his 50th appearance for Scotland on Friday, co-captain Rory Darge and centre Huw Jones will all feature from the off and should help a stronger side to victory and another demolition could be in store.
Duhan van der Merwe to score two or more tries @ SP
Townsend has named an exciting back-line, with Adam Hastings set to run the team from number 10 and soon-to-be Glasgow Warriors teammate Sione Tuipulotu co-captaining the side from inside centre.
However, Edinburgh winger Duhan van der Merwe could be the man to look out for in the try market after enjoying another stellar Six Nations tournament earlier this year.
The 29-year-old scored five tries over the course of the competition, including a hat-trick against bitter rivals England, and he looks a strong bet to continue his good form by dotting down more than once.
Pierre Schoeman to score a try anytime @ SP
While the backs have pace and creativity in abundance, the Scotland scrum could also be dangerous if they get on the front foot and prop Pierre Schoeman may fancy his chances of increasing his international tally.
The Edinburgh star has five Scotland tries to his name, more than fellow front row starters Ewan Ashman and Murphy Walker combined.
Should the United States defence begin to buckle, Schoeman could be a tempting choice to bulldoze his way over.
