Scotland start their autumn internationals with a home test against Fiji and Gregor Townsend will be hoping that his side can pick up where they left off in the summer.
The Scots won all four of their tests in July and are in their best run of form since 2021, when they defeated Italy, France, Tonga and Australia between March and November.
Fiji, meanwhile, are also in decent form having lifted the Pacific Nations Cup in September - comprehensively defeating Japan in the final 41-17 - but their record against the elite nations leaves a lot to be desired and they may fall short once again.
Scotland to win by 11-20 points @ 3/1
Scotland have been perfect ever since the Six Nations and, while they have not faced a nation ranked in the world’s top 15 since March, they should be able to make home advantage count against the Flying Fijians on Saturday.
The Scots were emphatic winners against Canada (73-12), USA (42-7) and Chile (52-11) in July, before they were forced into a comparatively tighter clash against Uruguay (31-19) in their final summer international.
Mick Byrne’s Fiji side will likely provide the Scots with sterner opposition on Saturday, with the world number eight ranked nation entering this contest on a run of four consecutive victories, but they have won just 31 of their 118 fixtures against "Tier 1" countries.
This includes two wins from nine meetings with Scotland - the most recent of which coming in 2017 - and this record is unlikely to improve at the weekend.
The Scots have won each of their last four by a minimum of 16 points and odds of 3/1 for a winning margin between 11 and 20 points provide a lot of appeal.
Duhan van der Merwe to score 2+ tries @ 2/1
South African-born winger Duhan van der Merwe made Scottish rugby history in his last appearance against Uruguay as his try saw him overtake Stuart Hogg as the country’s record tryscorer with 28 from just 41 appearances.
Odds of him getting over the tryline once again in this contest are short at 4/9, so backing the 29-year-old to grab at least a brace on Saturday could be the value play.
He scored a try in his only previous appearance against Fiji - a 28-12 victory at Murrayfield back in 2022 - and he has three tries in five matches for Edinburgh in the United Rugby Championship this season.
With van der Merwe regularly performing for club and country this season, he looks a tempting bet to get over a couple of times on Saturday.
Elia Canakaivata to score a try anytime @ 7/2
Fiji are known for their physical forwards and, if any member of their squad is to get over the try line at the weekend, then chances are that it will come from the front eight.
Fijian Drua star Elia Canakaivata has shown his tryscoring capabilities in recent games, scoring four times across the Pacific Nations Cup to finish top of the try charts.
The 28-year-old is starting at Number Eight on Saturday and so, if the visitors can drive a scrum at the five-yard line, expect the power forward to get over for valuable points on the board.
