After claiming their sixth title in 2023, Saracens' quest for back-to-back successes was halted by Northampton Saints in the play-off semi-finals following a thrilling 22-20 contest at Franklin's Gardens.
The defeat was Owen Farrell's final match donning a Saracens shirt, with the former England captain departing the club in the summer to join Racing 92 in France.
Filling his void at fly-half is Fergus Burke, who arrives at the StoneX Stadium as a relatively unknown quantity following a fruitful start to his career with Crusaders.
Saracens will also be without the Vunipola brothers Billy and Mako, with the pair also pursuing moves into Top 14. Joe Shaw still has a wealth of international experience to call upon, including the likes of Jamie George, Ben Earl and Maro Itoje, with the latter being named club captain ahead of the forthcoming season.
In an increasingly competitive division, Sarries will be expecting to challenge for major honours once again.
