Northampton Saints v Saracens: How to watch, TV channel, kick-off time, head-to-head stats and team news

It could be both the end of an era and the start of something special when Saracens head to Northampton Saints in Friday's first Premiership Rugby semi-final.

Saints' exciting young team topped the regular season standings, beating Sarries home and away, and they will be looking to book their club's spot at Twickenham for the first time since beating the Londoners in 2014.

Reigning champions Saracens have been plagued by off-field unrest but appear to have been bonded by the adversity.

The winner of this match will meet either Bath or Sale at Twickenham on 8th June.

Northampton have been thrilling to watch this season, beating Gloucester 90-0 in the penultimate round of fixtures before resting their big guns for the 43-12 final day defeat at Bath.

Saracens also lost in round 18, succumbing 20-10 at home to Sale to slip to fourth and lose out on a home play-off.

They will need to improve on their last trip to the Gardens, a 41-30 defeat in March, having also lost 18-12 at home to the Saints in December.

Northampton also beat Sarries 38-29 at home in the 2022/23 regular season, but Mark McCall's side got revenge in the semi-finals (38-15) before claiming the title by defeating Sale 35-25 at Twickenham.

Northampton Saints v Saracens team news

Northampton team news

Courtney Lawes will captain Northampton in his last game at the Gardens for the club, and prop Alex Waller and lock Alex Moon will also be making their final home starts for the Saints.

The hosts have opted for the six-two split on the bench, with only Tom James and George Hendy available as back-line cover.

Saracens team news

Like Northampton, Saracens will also be waving goodbye to several stalwarts in the summer and Friday could prove to be captain Owen Farrell's and Billy and Mako Vunipola's final games for the club.

All three start, while there is a big boost on the bench, another six-two split, as versatile back Alex Lozowski returns to the matchday 23 for the first time since November.
