This Super League Round 10 fixture is a rematch of the 2023 Grand Final in which Wigan Warriors edged past Catalans Dragons 10-2 in a nail biting Old Trafford encounter.
And the pair are going in search of glory once again, with the Warriors third in the table just two points behind leaders St Helens and Catalans Dragons, who are second to the Saints only on points difference.
Both of these sides are looking to bounce back from defeats last week, with the Warriors going down 26-10 at Hull KR, while Catalans were hammered 30-2 by struggling Leigh Leopards.
Wigan's loss was surprising but not a complete shock, as KR are a good side with lofty ambitions of their own, and they are a tough nut to crack on home soil. However, The Dragons' defeat at Leigh was a huge surprise, particularly the manner of their defeat.
Wigan are warm favourites to get back on track at 1/4, while the French side are 3/1 to record their third straight win at the DW Stadium in a mouthwatering contest on Thursday evening.
This Super League Round 10 match will be shown on Sky Sports Arena in the UK.
The match kicks off at 20:00 on Thursday 2nd May at the DW Stadium in Wigan.
Catalans have won on their last two visits to Wigan and six of the last eight meetings have seen one side reduced to a single-figure score.
The last eight meetings have been settled by winning margins of 8, 34, 24, 8, 44, 28, 4 and 48.
Wigan winger Liam Marshall has scored nine tries in seven matches this season.
