Wigan Warriors have won the Challenge Cup more times than any other side, but they came up short in the semi-finals last season and they face their conquerors on that day - Hull Kingston Rovers - at the same stage again this season.
The Warriors are 4/11 to win this rematch, but last season's 11-10 defeat will still be fresh in the memory, as will the 26-10 hammering they got off the Robins in last month's Super League encounter.
Hull KR are 11/5 to cut down the Warriors once again and they have enjoyed plenty of success against the 20-time cup winners in recent years.
However, Rovers do most of their best work on home turf at Craven Park, so this trip to Doncaster will see them out of their comfort zone once again, but they love taking on the big boys and this semi-final could be another close contest.
Hull KR +8 - 10/11
Hull KR are an ambitious side and head coach Willie Peters has recognised that by signing a new long-term contract with the East Hull outfit, following a successful first season with the Robins.
Peters guided KR to a top-four finish in the 2023 Super League campaign but the icing on the cake in an impressive debut season was their Challenge Cup final appearance at Wembley in August.
It may have ended in heartbreak at the national stadium but it showed what the Robins are capable of and they are firmly in the mix for the play-offs after 11 rounds of league action.
And they are back in the Challenge Cup semi-finals, too, where they face a rematch with Wigan Warriors, who they edged out 11-10 at Headingley in a pulsating July contest.
Things were more clear-cut last month as Hull KR romped to a 26-10 win over Wigan in the league, but Craven Park is a difficult place for sides to visit and this Doncaster dust-up on Saturday should be a much more competitive affair.
Wigan are firm favourites to book their place at Wembley, just as they were last season, but recent meetings suggest keeping KR on side.
Peters' side have won four of their last seven meetings with Wigan and they have also beaten Super League second-favourites St Helens recently, too.
Leeds Rhinos and Huddersfield Giants have also come up short against the high-flying Robins and they look the best bet for this contest with an eight-point start on the match handicap at 10/11.
Revenge will be firmly on the minds of the Warriors and you take on the champions at your peril, but KR can keep things close and a nail-biting affair looks likely on Saturday.
Drop goal to be scored - 3/1
Brad Schneider knocked over a golden-point drop goal to win last season's Challenge Cup semi-final for Hull KR and backing another single-point score could pay off in Saturday's rematch between these sides.
Schneider has since returned to Australia but there are plenty of players in both sides capable of slotting the ball through the posts at Doncaster this weekend.
It was 11-10 to Hull KR last July and a similarly-tight contest can be expected this time around, too.
A drop-goal by Leigh Leopards half-back Lachlan Lam won the Challenge Cup in golden-point extra-time for his side at Wembley at KR's expense.
It would be no surprise to see a one-pointer deciding what should be another cagey contest between Hull KR and Wigan this week.
