Hull KR v Hull FC: Prediction, Tips and Odds

It's time for Rivals Round in Super League and fans will be brimming with excitement ahead of Easter weekend, which usually marks one of the highlights of the Super League season.

Derby fixtures dominate the schedule over Easter weekend, and there are some mouthwatering ties on the agenda once again.

Good Friday starts per usual with the Hull derby, and Hull KR are the overwhelming favourites to overcome Hull FC, with the two teams enduring differing starts to the campaign.

Hull KR v Hull FC betting tips and predictions

Hull KR -22 - 5/6

The two fanbases in Hull have endured contrasting fortunes during the first month of the Super League season.

For those connected to the Robins, life is pretty good after three wins from five matches, while they also progressed in the Challenge Cup last weekend after a 40-0 success over the Salford Red Devils.

Willie Peters' side have ticked along nicely, even without half-back Mikey Lewis in recent weeks due to concussion.

The same cannot be said of Hull FC, who have endured a miserable opening few weeks under coach Tony Smith.

The Black and Whites have already conceded 162 points this season; only Castleford Tigers and London Broncos have conceded more.

After losing their final pre-season friendly 40-0 to Wigan Warriors, the writing was perhaps on the wall for Hull FC for the first few months of the campaign.

They have since lost 22-0 to the Robins in Week One, while they have conceded 36 points to Warrington, 26 to Catalans, 54 to Leigh and 50 to Huddersfield.

Even more worrying was the fact they conceded 24 to London Broncos, although they scraped past them to win 28-24.

Lewis is likely to return to the halves to boost the Robins, and he should be able to help his team rack up the points on home soil.

Hull KR 1st-half handicap - 10.5 - 5/6

With the Robins expected to rack up the points, it is likely that they will get off to a flying start on Good Friday.

This fixture against Hull FC has delivered some of the best memories for Super League fans, with the hatred between the two clubs often on show.

Smith's side ran out 16-6 winners when the two teams met in July at Craven Park, but they have no momentum and Smith could soon be fighting for his job.

Peters' side led 14-0 at the break when the two teams met in February, and they have improved as a team since then, while they should be full of confidence, having smashed Salford last week in the Challenge Cup without conceding.

Peta Hiku to score anytime - 13/10

Peters has had to make some changes to his team throughout the first few weeks of the season, but he has been big enough to admit that he got one alteration wrong.

Robins centre Hiku was moved to full-back for a few weeks last month, but it did nothing for his form before he moved him back out wide against Salford.

Hiku rewarded Peters and the coaching staff by scoring a try, and he has scored four in Super League to sit sixth in the standings after five matches.

He now looks back to his best in his regular position, and he will have every chance of scoring against the third-worst defence in Super League on Friday.
