Western Sydney Wanderers boss Mark Rudan accepts his side were second best before they snatched a late draw against Melbourne Victory on Sunday.
The Wanderers are priced at 15/4 to finish in the top six of the A-League and kept their hopes alive with the point they picked up in dramatic circumstances.
Victory thought they had snatched all three points when Jason Davidson smashed home a long-range effort in the 91st minute of the game, but the drama was not over.
In the 96th minute Victory defender Brendan Hamill handled the ball in the area and Steven Ugarkovic stepped up to coolly fire the ball home from the penalty spot to earn Rudan’s men a share of the points.

Speaking after the game Rudan admits his side got a bit lucky. Victory dominated large chunks of the game and the
Wanderers had goalkeeper Daniel Margush to thank for keeping them in it.
He pulled off at least three quality saves to deny Victory and Rudan was grateful.
"We were probably second-best throughout the game, not going to lie, but they fought and they stayed in the contest and they never gave up," Rudan said. "All those things we've been working on, that's where I'm really proud of them
"On another day, in seasons gone by, we probably would have lost that game but we're starting to get some toughness about us now."
Meanwhile Wanderers are also sweating over the fitness of Ramy Najjarine who only lasted nine minutes of the game after picking up a hamstring injury.
