Ruben Amorim's record amongst worst at 'Big Six' clubs

Manchester United might be on the verge of UEFA Europa League glory but their Premier League struggles have been well-documented under Ruben Amorim.

Amorim's arrival from Sporting Lisbon in November came with sizeable fanfare but he has failed to make much impact on his team's performance.

On a positive note, United remain the only team to boast an unblemished record in all three European competitions and victory against Spurs in the Europa League final would provide the opportunity to dine at Europe's top table next season.

However, it is hard to shut out what has been an abysmal Premier League campaign.

The Red Devils sit 16th in the table with Amorim winning just six games from his opening 25 in charge - with three of those victories coming against relegated teams.

When viewed through the prism of other managerial starts at traditional 'Big Six' clubs, it doesn't make pretty reading for fans of Manchester United.

Amorim has the joint-second worst points record of any 'Big Six' manager from their opening 25 Premier League fixtures. When compared to all 64 managers to reach this particular milestone, Amorim ranks 62nd of 64.

Jose Mourinho's ranks first after he amassed 64 points from the 75 available to him in his first spell at Chelsea.

Joint-second is Arne Slot's 60 point-tally that he achieved on the way to securing Liverpool's second Premier League title this season.
