Chesham Stakes Placepot Tips

The Chesham looks wide open with the usual suspects for this race, Ballydoyle, Charlie Johnston, Godolphin all represented, but another stable that has a good record in this race is that of Charlie Johnston.

This trainer certainly knows what it takes and the booking of Oisin Murphy for Expensive Rose is eyecatching.

Hardwicke Stakes Placepot Tips

A less-than-vintage Hardwicke Stakes looks ripe for a mini upset, with not much between most of them on ratings, and on fast ground Candleford looks likely to go close.

He was a cosy winner of a Listed race last time and is a course-and-distance winner in the Duke Of Edinburgh Stakes in 2022.

Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes Placepot Tips

The Queen Elizabeth II Stakes also looks less than stellar this year and the record of horses running again after contesting what was the Kings' Stand makes Believing look a likley sort.

He was a close fourth on Tuesday, will like fast ground, and his best runs have come over this trip so there is plenty to like about his chances.

Jersey Stakes Placepot Tips

The Jersey Stakes is dominated by Guineas-placed Haatem and River tiber and with Rosallion boosting their form in the St James's Palace Stakes, I think it's best to just include one here. River Tiber gets the nod with Aidan O'Brien's horses coming on so much for a run.

Wokingham Stakes Placepot Tips

The Wokingham isn't always as fiendish as it appears with a few winning favourites recently and lightly-raced younger horses also coming to the fore.

Apollo One is a standing dish in there good quality sprint handicaps and having 'won' the race on his side last year he can get close enough.

Harry Three was a useful 3yo who came back from over 18 months off to run a solid race in a Listed contest and Ryan Moore is six from 14 for Clive Cox in the last five years.

Golden Gates Stakes Placepot Tips

1m2f for 3yos in the Golden Gates Stakes and this is as tricky a contest as you'll see all week.

Once again high draws have held sway in the few runnings and favourite Hand Of God has been handed a great stall in 17. If the placepot is still going at this stage I'd hate not to have him in under William Buick.

It makes sense to have a couple in this and Andrew Balding has had a winner and a fourth in the four runnings so far. His horse Dambuster looks to have plenty going for him as a winner last time. He has siblings who ran well on fast ground and he should go well.
