Following a brilliant two-year-old campaign where he tasted Group 1 success in the Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere, Rosallion went from strength-to-strength.
His Classic season then began with a good second to Notable Speech in the 2000 Guineas before striking in the Irish equivalent of the race under Sean Levey.
His campaign ended at the highest level with Royal Ascot victory.
Turning the form with Notable Speech, he got up in the shadows of the post to land the St James's Palace Stakes.
The Lockinge was his first target as a four-year-old and despite defeat, it was an encouraging return finishing third behind Lead Artist.
Hopes were high heading into the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot but a second win at the meeting narrowly evaded him as Docklands got the better of him by the finest of margins.
Rosallion is likely to return in the Sussex Stakes during the Goodwood Festival.
