We analyse the credentials and statistics of Robbie Davies Jr and Javier Fortuna as the two fighters get set to square-off in a super-lightweight showdown in Belfast on Friday night.
Some of the best combinations on this earth seemed strange at first, from peanut butter and chocolate, to Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito.
Robbie Davies Jr taking on Javier Fortuna on this coming Friday night is also unusual - a Scouser fighting a New York-based Dominican, in Belfast.
But, it is a combination which might just work.
Both men are renowned for their losses rather than their victories, but make no mistake about it, both possess plenty of talent.
Davies Jr showed he still has something to offer when he engaged in a war with, former world champion, Sergey Lipinets, back in May.
Javier Fortuna has held ‘Interim’ and ‘Regular’ world titles, but a full version has always eluded him.
For the winner, another big fight will likely follow, but for the loser, it may be the end of the road.
Let’s look at the 'Tale of the Tape'...

Robbie Davies Jr has had a very good career, he has held British, Commonwealth and European titles at super-lightweight.
Although while there have been plenty of successes, he maybe should have had more.
In his biggest fights, the 35-year-old has been found wanting.
It's not for a lack of talent; the Liverpudlian has solid fundamentals and reasonable pop on his shots. Nor is it for the want of trying; he is known to prepare diligently and lives the life.
Some of the best coaches in the country, such as Dominic Ingle and Shane McGuigan, have attempted to help Davies Jr fulfil his potential, but have been unable to do so.
Now, working with, former WBA lightweight champion, Anthony Crolla, Davies Jr is back for one more crack at the big time.
Their working partnership had an encouraging start in May, when the Englishman travelled to Florida to take on Sergey Lipinets.
The former IBF 140lbs champion was in trouble early on, but Davies Jr could not find the punch to bring the fight to a close.
The Kazakhstani weathered the storm and scored two knockdowns en-route to a decision win.
Perhaps this Friday will be the night everything falls into place for him.

Luck has not been on the side of Javier Fortuna.
For years, he was in the ‘Who Needs Him Club’. As a dangerous southpaw, but with no real name value, he was avoided.
Despite holding the ‘Interim’ WBA featherweight belt, and the sanctioning body’s ‘Regular’ strap at super-featherweight, he was unable to secure a shot at the full titles.
When big opportunities presented themselves, circumstances out of his control prevented them from happening.
‘El Abejon’ had been scheduled to face Luke Campbell for the vacant WBC in April 2020, but the bout was cancelled after the covid-19 outbreak.
In August of that year, he was meant to face Jorge Linares, but his opponent contracted Coronavirus.
However, the Dominican has been his own worst enemy at times - notably, failing to make weight for a title tile with IBF 135lbs holder, Robert Easter.
At 35, there won’t be many more chances if he is unsuccessful and, as such, expect him to fight like his career depends on it.
