Viddal Riley v Mikael Lawal belts

There are no titles on the line in this bout but both fighters have held belts previously.

Riley won the vacant English cruiserweight title with a unanimous decision win over Nathan Quarless in his last bout, while Lawal has previously held the British version of that title.

Viddal Riley record

Riley has a perfect 10-0 record and six of his wins have come via stoppages.

The 26-year-old from Tottenham was last seen in September as he claimed a dominant unanimous decision win over Quarless, who was unbeaten going into that bout.

Riley made his debut in Tijuana, Mexico, in 2018 with a KO win over Julio Manuel Gonzalez and his first four fights all took place outside of the UK.

His second win came via another KO as he stopped Mitchell Spangler in Las Vegas, then outpointed Austine Nnamdi in Dubai.

The Londoner then fought again in Vegas, claiming a points win over Muhammad Abdullah.

Riley’s bout with Abdullah was his first against an opponent with a winning record and in six outings since he has only faced one opponent with more defeats than victories on their record.

Riley fought three times in 2023 as he faced Anees Taj twice, winning both via TKO, as the first meeting was ended on advice from the doctors before an impressive fourth-round victory in the rematch.

His win over Quarless is the biggest of his career so far, while Lawal represents his toughest assignment to date.

Mikael Lawal record

Nigeria-born Briton Lawal has complied a 17-1 record since making his debut in 2017 with a TKO win over Jindrich Velecky.

Lawal won six of his first eight bouts inside the distance and 11 of his wins overall have come via stoppages.

The 28-year-old claimed a unanimous decision victory over David Jamieson in 2019 and then faced the same opponent for the British cruiserweight title in November 2022, winning via stoppage as Jamieson was forced to retire with a suspected broken jaw.

Lawal also has wins over Damian Chambers and Benoit Huber on his CV and he won his first 17 fights before running into Isaac Chamberlain, losing out via unanimous decision.

This will be his first bout since seeing his unbeaten record ended.

Viddal Riley v Mikael Lawal full card

There is also an intriguing welterweight showdown between Florian Marku and Chris Kongo taking place, while rising stars Ben Whittaker and Callum Simpson will also be in action.
