Two of boxing's biggest names will soon get their hands on each other as Ricky Hatton and Marco Antonio Barrera prepare to make their comeback in front of a packed crowd.

Both fighters have not stepped in the ring for over a decade but they will get the chance to showcase their skills in an exhibition bout in November.

The two legends will meet on Saturday, 12th November 2022, four months after their original bout was cancelled.

Hatton and Barrera were due to fight on the undercard of a Hughie Fury fight in July, but when the British heavyweight fell ill, his bout against Michael Hunter was called off.

The exhibition will take place at Manchester's AO Arena, a venue well-known to Hatton.

"The Hitman" enjoyed some memorable nights at his local arena, with the highlight coming in 2005 when he stopped Australian Kostya Tszyu to win the IBF and The Ring junior welterweight titles.

Sky Sports will broadcast Hatton's fight with Barrera at the same time as their BOXXER show. Hatton's clash with Barrera is due to start around 22:00.

There are no odds available for November's fight between the pair due to it being an exhibition. The two icons of the sport have been training hard for the contest and Hatton says fans will be entertained throughout the eight rounds.

While Hatton and Barrera are the two biggest names fighting on 12th November, their fight is a stand-alone exhibition contest. 

Sky Sports' BOXXER card will run at the same time, and there is a stacked undercard to look forward to. Liverpool's Natasha Jonas faces Marie-Eve Dicaire at super-middleweight, hoping to add the IBF belt to her WBO and WBC titles. 

Olympian Frazer Clarke will also return to the ring, with the heavyweight set to tackle Kamil Sokolowski. 

Bradley Rea will meet Tyler Denny, while Dalton Smith and Kaisee Benjamin will trade leather for the British Super Lightweight title.

What is Ricky Hatton's record?

Hatton may have lost his last bout in 2012 but the Manchester fighter has a CV to be proud of. Between 1997 and 2012, Hatton had 45 fights, with 32 of those victories coming via knockout.

The fan favourite only lost three of his contests, with Floyd Mayweather Jr, Manny Pacquiao and Vyacheslav Senchenko all able to record knockout victories.

Hatton was stopped during the last two fights of his career but he still managed to win world titles in two weight classes.

What is Marco Antonio Barrera's record?

Like Hatton, Barrera enjoyed a fine career at the top of the sport, but the Mexican made his debut in 1989 before retiring in 2011.

The "Baby Faced Assassin" enjoyed some incredible nights, including his trilogy with Erik Morales, while he also lost to Pacquiao.
