The first piece of silverware north of the border is up for grabs as old rivals Rangers and Celtic do battle once again for the Scottish League Cup, with a host of BOOSTED markets available for the clash at Hampden.
What | Rangers v Celtic, Scottish League Cup Final |
Where | Hampden Park, Glasgow |
When | 15:00, Sunday 26th February 2023 |
How to watch | Viaplay Sports 1 |
Odds (FT) | Rangers 9/4, Draw 5/2, Celtic 11/10 |
While both teams have been in impressive form in the Premiership since the start of the year, Celtic’s strong start to the campaign means the reigning champions still hold a nine-point lead ahead of their Old Firm rivals.
The Light Blues find themselves on a 16-game unbeaten run in all competitions heading into this game, with the appointment of manager Michael Beale looking like the right decision from the Gers’ hierarchy.
His predecessor Giovanni van Bronckhorst worked wonders to take Rangers to the Europa League final last season but poor results at the start of the current campaign cost the Dutch tactician his job at Ibrox.
While Rangers might have left themselves too much work to realistically catch Celtic in the league, their last meeting with the Hoops showed Beale has helped narrow the gap in quality.
The two sides played out a thrilling 2-2 draw on 2nd January, with Kyogo Furuhashi’s 88th minute goal for the visitors seeing the spoils shared at Ibrox.
Rangers will have been disappointed not to take all three points from that game but responded well by winning all of their last nine matches leading into this League Cup final.
Celtic have likewise been in outstanding form, with Ange Postecoglu’s side also winning all of their last nine games following the Old Firm stalemate in Govan.
It makes for another intriguing contest on Sunday with silverware and more bragging rights up for grabs at Hampden.

Rarely does an Old Firm clash pass without Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos being involved in the thick of the action against the Hoops.
Whether the Colombian starts the contest at the national stadium remains to be seen but the 26-year-old, who has scored nine goals in 23 Premiership appearances this season, should feature at some stage.
No player has been carded more for Rangers in the league this season, with the South American being shown five yellows and one red.
