5.20 Fairyhouse - White Caviar @ 2/1

The 1m6f Fairyhouse Summer BBQ Rated Race looks a golden opportunity for WHITE CAVIAR.

White Caviar is a sister to the Joseph O'Brien yard's St Leger scorer Galileo Chrome and the suspicion is we are yet to see the best of this lightly raced filly, who was late to the track, having only debuted last July.

After a fine third in a 1m6f Listed contest on her return at Gowran Park, White Caviar struggled when dropping back into handicap company at the Curragh when finishing a tailed-off last of 10 behind stablemate Nusret.

The quick ground at the Curragh was nominated as a reason for White Caviar's no show and the forecast rain at Fairyhouse is very much in her favour.

The opposite statement applies to White Caviar's chief rival Hell Bent, who shares the same rating.

Hell Bent needs it fast and conditions can tilt matters into White Caviar's favour under useful 7lb claimer Hugh Horgan.

She should have plenty more to offer over staying trips.

Robbie Wilders' tip:

White Caviar @ 2/1 - 1pt win

6.50 Fairyhouse - American Sonja @ 7/4

The Group 3 Darley Irish EBF Brownstown Stakes headlines the card and looks a match between Zarinsk and AMERICAN SONJA.

Zarinsk had American Sonja's measure when the pair met in the Cornelscourt Stakes over a mile at Leopardstown in May, but the Joseph O'Brien-trained filly is 3lb better off with the winner and appears to have improved since.

American Sonja relished a change of tactics when making all in a Listed race at Chantilly last time, and Dylan Browne McMonagle surely won't let Colin Keane have his own way again aboard Zarinsk.

Keane's masterful front-running ride in which he nicked a few lengths round the home turn on Zarinsk at Leopardstown proved the difference, with American Sonja given too much to do.

A drop to seven furlongs on a slightly quicker surface is also expected to better play to the selection's strengths, so she can avenge her previous defeat at Fairyhouse.

Robbie Wilders' tip:

American Sonja @ 7/4 - 1pt win

7.20 Fairyhouse - Lexington Dash @ 33/1

7.20 Fairyhouse - Pale Iris @ 20/1

The most compelling betting race at the meeting is the Follow Fairyhouse On Social Media Handicap.

O'Brien has another strong hand with favourite Hot Rocket and classy topweight Snapraeterea, but this looks a deep field and it is worth noting just how many prominent racers are lining up.

The likes of Pandora Lovegood, Red Heel and Verhoyen are forward-goers, as are Prisoner's Dilemma and Lust, and this could set up nicely for a closer on the rain-softened ground.

The first hold-up performer to make some appeal, even if slower ground would be a slight negative for him, is the well-handicapped LEXINGTON DASH.

The John McConnell-trained six-year-old was a smart sprinter for Richard Hannon a few years ago and landed this nicely off a 7lb higher mark last term.

While this is Lexington Dash's return from 250 days off, his record fresh is strong and I'm backing McConnell to have him ready to roll.

The other who can pick up the pieces is the mare PALE IRIS, who is also on a tempting mark.

Pale Iris began her campaign in March rated 88, but struggled conceding weight to every rival in the two handicaps she turned up in earlier this season (the latter won by the thrown-in American Sonja) and returns from an 84-day break off a 7lb lower mark.

The daughter of Dragon Pulse has two Group 3 entries later this month, suggesting connections are not giving up on hopes to secure black type with her, and she can take this off a mark of 81 before stepping back up in class for Joe Murphy.
