The confirmed list of runners and riders for the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot on Saturday 22nd June.
There are 14 confirmed runners for the 2024 Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Kinross
No spring chicken now at seven-years-old but a prolific winner, 9-26 on turf including a pair of Group 1s in the autumn of 2022.
Has done most of his winning on softer ground but also won on fast ground. Despite being pigeon-holed as a 7f specialist, he's a top-level winner over track and trip.
Mill Stream
Disappointed in one previous run here at the backend of last season but seems an improved model now at four, going close in the Abernant at Newmarket (6f, good) on comeback post wind surgery, then winning the Duke Of York Clipper Stakes (6f, good) on the Knavesmire last month. Gleneagles colt has a bright future.
Shartash
Ex-Johnny Murtagh inmate has started out for his new trainer Archie Watson with a pair of wins at Thirsk and Haydock, latterly in the Listed Spring Trophy over this trip on fast ground. On good terms with himself now, though more will be demanded in this company in all probability.
Mitbaahy
Just three starts for this trainer after leaving Roger Varian and duly bagged the Group 2 Greenlands Stakes at the Curragh (6f, good) last month. Has more to do in this contest but connections sent out the shock winner last season.
Shouldvebeenaring
Strike-rate on turf is just 4-18, two of them at Listed level. Narrowly denied last month at York behind Mill Stream in a Group 2 over this trip and perhaps a 10-day turnaround at the Curragh was too soon as he finished only sixth behind Mitbaahy in the Greenlands Stakes.
Art Power
Third in this race in 2022 but well-held 12th last summer. Won the Champions Sprint over C&D on soft in October, a deserved Group 1 breakthrough despite odds of 40/1. Competitive but held in starts at York and the Curragh lately, behind some potential rivals in this, but cannot be crossed off in any haste.
