Queensberry v Matchroom odds: Eddie Hearn's stable narrow favourites for Saudi Arabia victory

We've priced up Eddie Hearn's five-man stable as the narrow favourites to accrue more points than their Queensberry counterparts in Saturday night's unique head-to-head in Saudi Arabia.

Queensberry v Matchroom

Just a couple of years ago it seemed far-fetched to even contemplate the idea of Eddie Hearn and Frank Warren agreeing terms for a single cross-promotional fight, let alone for five bouts on the same night!

When talk initially surfaced of such a unique card earlier this year, at the request of His Excellency, Turki Alalshikh, few would have believed that it would actually come to fruition.

But less than 24 hours on from His Excellency's then seemingly off-the-cuff idea, a lucrative deal was struck for Saudi Arabia to stage the colossal, and ground-breaking, bill of action.

And now, with all of the weight divisions agreed and fights set in stone, we are on the cusp of witnessing yet more boxing history in the Middle East.

But the big question is who will prevail come Saturday night?

Well, it's currently Team Matchroom at the top of the betting, installed as the 4/6 favourites to accumulate more points than their Queensberry counterparts, priced at 5/4.

For those not aware of the structure of the card, points will be used to determine the overall winner on the night, as opposed to the number of winners from either Queensberry or Matchroom.

In layman's terms, it's two points for a knockout victory, one point for a scorecard victory and zero points for a draw or a loss; whilst there is also the added caveat of double points being on offer for fights involving the two team captains, Deontay Wilder (Matchroom) and Hamzah Sheeraz (Queensberry).

Willy Hutchinson and Craig Richards will kick the action off in a hugely-anticipated light-heavyweight dust-up, before Raymond Ford puts his WBA featherweight title on the line against Nick Ball, as the Brit goes in search of his first world title after being controversially denied the WBC strap against Rey Vargas last time out.

The spotlight will then fall upon middleweights Sheeraz and Austin 'Ammo' Williams in what promises to be an enthralling 160lbs affair, before the heavyweights look to steal the show with two cracking fights at the top the bill.

A mandatory shot at the IBF heavyweight title, or even the strap itself, will be on the line when Filip Hrgovic and Daniel Dubois lock-horns in the co-main event, whilst Deontay Wilder and Zhilei Zhang will close the show with a bout that few in the game are expecting to hear the final bell.
