Confirmed runners and riders for the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot 2024

The runners and riders have been confirmed for the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot on Tuesday 18th June.

The Group 1 race is the curtain raiser at Royal Ascot on Tuesday 18th June and has been won in fairly recent times by Frankel, Declaration Of War, Ribchester, Palace Pier and Baaeed - amongst others.

Here's a look at some of the contenders in the Queen Anne Stakes and a reminder that every race across the five days of the Royal Ascot meeting can be watched on the bet365 Sports Live Streaming platform.

Charyn

Winless last season despite some big efforts in top company, but opened this term with Doncaster and Sandown wins, latterly in the Group 2 bet365 Mile.

Second since behind Audience in the Lockinge, a race in which the winner was able establish a big lead, with Charyn the only one to close the gap late on.

Facteur Cheval

Classy son of Ribchester was second to Big Rock in the QEII on soft ground here in October on Champions Day and produced a shock to win the Dubai Turf (1m1f, good) at Meydan on World Cup Night in March. The French raider is very consistent.

Audience

The five-year-old gelding produced a career-best to win the Lockinge at Newbury last month.

He'd been a regular Group 2 contender before that, but dominated from the front and left lots of good rivals trailing in his wake, with only Charyn emerging from the pack. Has to show the trick can be repeated now.

Big Rock

French raider made every yard and torched his rivals in the QEII here in October on soft going, winning by seven lengths.

Folded in disappointing fashion in the Lockinge on his only start since, his debut for this trainer and now must put that behind him in a deeper race.

Maljoom

Third here over C&D in the Paradise Stakes behind Quddwah in last month's seasonal bow, perhaps having done too much too soon.

He went close in the St James's Palace Stakes on this card 12 months ago and so the conditions/fanfare hold no fears for William Haggas' lightly-raced son of Caravaggio.

Docklands

Split Quddwah and Maljoom when second home in a Listed contest over C&D at the start of May and took home a silver medal from Longchamp since in similar event.

Scored over track and trip on fast ground in a handicap at this meeting last year.
