QPR looking to complete signing of former Rangers title winner

Queens Park Rangers are reportedly looking to conclude a deal to sign midfielder Glen Kamara from Ligue 1 side Rennes.

Kamara joined Rennes in the summer of 2024 but he has only made 18 appearances for the club and he also spent six months on loan at Al-Shabab in the Saudi Pro League.

The 30-year-old has been capped 70 times for Finland and he could still be a valuable asset for a Championship club.

The Daily Record have reported that QPR are interested in signing Kamara and they have already held talks with the French side.

Championship

Kamara was part of the Rangers team that won the Scottish Premiership team and reached the UEFA Europa League final.

He made 193 appearances for Rangers before leaving for Leeds United at the end of the 2022/23 season.

He was an integral part of the Leeds squad the following season as they reached the Championship play-off final before losing to Southampton.

QPR have already swooped to bring in Pierce Charles on loan from Manchester City, Calum Ward from Scottish side Motherwell, and Boy Kemper and Tariq Lamptey on free transfers.

The potential capture of Kamara would provide an excellent option for manager Julian Stephan in midfield.
