Barring any late fitness concerns, Preston boss Ryan Lowe is expected to name an unchanged starting XI that prevailed 2-0 away at Cardiff at the weekend.
Defender Kian Best and midfielder Duane Holmes are the only two Preston players on the treatment table at the moment.
Michael Carrick will be unable to call upon Matt Crooks for the trip to Preston with the midfielder having just completed a move to MLS side Real Salt Lake.
