Ipswich Town's Liam Delap is amongst an eight-man strong shortlist for the 2024/25 Premier League Young Player of the Season.

Despite playing for a relegated team 22-year-old Delap has emerged with credit, scoring 12 of Ipswich's 35 league goals.

Only Chris Wood for Nottingham Forest has a higher share of goals for a Premier League club this season.

Wood's Forest teammate Anthony Elanga is next on the string of nominees, the Swedish international has been pivotal to a lot of the success at the City Ground in 2024/25 - scoring six goals and laying on a further 10 assists.

Just one player features amongst the entries for both the Young Player of the Season and Player of the Season but Ryan Gravenberch has been more than worthy of the recognition.

Pivotal to the midfield during Liverpool's title winning campaign, the Dutchman has only been absent from one league game this season.

Outgoing Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen also makes the list after helping his side achieve a record Premier League points total.

Unfortunately for fans of the Cherries, he looks as if he will be playing his football in Spain next season after Real Madrid triggered his £50m release clause.

Previous winner Cole Palmer also gets a chance to land the award back-to-back.

The Cheslea and England star picked up from where he left off last campaign and can join Phil Foden as a multiple recipient of the award.

Surpassing his own personal best for top-flight goals Joao Pedro features amongst nominees.

His 16 direct goal contributions have given Fabian Hurzeler hope that he can steer Brighton to a European place in his debut year with the club.

Penultimately comes Morgan Rogers after an exceptional first full season at Aston Villa, his eight goals and nine assists have provided Villa Park with the opportunity to host UEFA Champions League football for the second successive season.

Last but not least is France international William Saliba.

The 24-year-old has played an absolutely integral role for an Arsenal side who boast the best defensive record in the Premier League.
