Liverpool boosted their top-four hopes thanks to a blistering second-half display in which they produced their best performance of the season to thrash Manchester United 7-0 at Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp's side produced an attacking masterclass in the second 45 minutes to move up to fifth in the Premier League table, and they are now only three points behind fourth-placed Tottenham, with one game in hand.

Liverpool's display will undoubtedly steal the headlines, but there were big wins elsewhere on Saturday, not least Arsenal's thrilling come-from-behind victory to reinforce their title credentials.

That 3-2 win came at the expense of struggling Bournemouth and, with Wolves and Southampton both improving their own chances of avoiding relegation, the Cherries have now slipped to the foot of the table.

Liverpool roll back the years

Liverpool have been Manchester City's main title rivals under Jurgen Klopp, but they have regressed this season, a year after being in contention to win the quadruple.

The German tactician has continued to back his players and they repaid him in fine style, bringing the Red Devils back down to earth just a week after they won the EFL Cup final at Wembley by beating Newcastle United 2-0.

Klopp's men claimed a timely lead just before the break in the 43rd minute, after Andrew Robertson set up Cody Gakpo. 

United had been expected to respond in the second 45 minutes, but a calamitous defensive display saw Liverpool ultimately cruise to victory with a score that could have even been worse for the visitors.

Gakpo, Darwin Nunez, and Mohamed Salah all scored a brace, while Roberto Firmino added a seventh with two minutes left.

The result will surely give Liverpool the shot in the arm they need to try and finish in the top four, while United will now need to regroup after such a damaging performance.

Erik ten Hag's side are still expected to finish in the top four at 1/7, while Liverpool are now 1/1 to secure a Champions League spot.

Gunners leave it late

Arsenal showed they have the fighting spirit required to win the Premier League title as they came from 2-0 down to beat Bournemouth 3-2 at the Emirates Stadium, having conceded the opener inside 10 seconds to Philip Billing.

Reiss Nelson scored a 97th-minute winner to seal a famous comeback after Bournemouth had taken a 2-0 lead, with Marcos Senesi having added the Cherries' second.

Thomas Partey and Ben White had restored parity before Nelson smashed home the winner from the edge of the box with the last kick of the game.

Manchester City had cut the gap earlier in the day to two points thanks to a 2-0 win over Newcastle United, but Nelson's winner ensured the gap was back to five points after 26 matches.

Arsenal are 5/6 to win this year's title, while Pep Guardiola's men are 11/10 to defend their crown.

Saints show fighting spirit

Southampton took advantage of Bournemouth's collapse and climbed above them and off the foot of the table thanks to a 1-0 win over Leicester City.

Ruben Selles' men moved on to 21 points and brought the Foxes back into the relegation fight thanks to Carlos Alcaraz's winner in the 35th minute. Southampton could have taken the lead three minutes earlier, but Danny Ward saved James Ward-Prowse's penalty.

The Saints' win has given them a real boost after losing 1-0 to Leeds United last weekend, and they are now only a point behind their fellow strugglers in 17th place, admittedly with a far worse goal difference.

Relegation rivals share Sunday spoils

Nottingham Forest continued their fine record at home in the Premier League to secure a 2-2 draw against Everton, boosting their survival chances under boss Steve Cooper.

The Tricky Trees are now unbeaten in nine games at the City Ground, and they had to dig deep to ensure they are still four points above Sean Dyche's side.

Brennan Johnson scored twice for Forest to salvage a point, having fallen behind to Everton on two occasions.

The Toffees took the lead from the penalty spot after Jonjo Shelvey fouled Dwight McNeil, before Abdoulaye Doucoure restored the visitors' advantage after Johnson's first.

The two sides showed signs of nerves in such an important encounter, and both will need to do more if they are to avoid the drop in May.

Forest are 7/4 To be Relegated, while Everton are 10/11 to drop down into the Championship.

Chelsea ease the pressure on Potter

After a run of two wins from their previous 15 matches, Chelsea eased some of the pressure on Graham Potter by beating Leeds 1-0, pushing the Whites closer to the relegation zone in the process.

Wesley Fofana scored his first Premier League goal for the Blues as he met Ben Chilwell's corner in the 53rd minute, and that was enough to give Chelsea a much-needed three points.

The Blues could have scored several goals at Stamford Bridge, but the result was all that mattered after a difficult few weeks for Potter.

Leeds remain in a precarious position, and they will hope to bounce back when they host Brighton on Saturday at Elland Road.

Chelsea remain 10th after their win, but a top-six finish could be on the cards at 8/1 if they can maintain the same level of performance.

Elsewhere on Saturday, Wolves picked up a vital three points thanks to Adama Traore's 82nd-minute strike, a result that means Julen Lopetegui's side are now six points above the drop zone.

Brighton thumped West Ham United 4-0 to bring the Hammers back down to earth after their similar success from last week, while Aston Villa added to Crystal Palace's woes by securing a 1-0 victory at Villa Park.
