First played in 2005, the Premier League has grown into one of darts' biggest events, now considered to be part of the sport's Triple Crown, alongside the World Championship and World Matchplay.
Changing in format over the years, the Premier League is now contested as a series of mini-tournaments on each night, with points awarded depending on each player's success on that night.
Growing from the small local venues it originated in, the Premier League now stops in all four corners of the United Kingdom, as well as Ireland, Germany and the Netherlands.
At the end of the season, the top four players meet in the play-offs, with the winners of the two semi-finals meeting in the final to crown the champion.
