What a cracker this could be!

Michael van Gerwen won three nights in succession not too long ago, that despite not being at the very top of his game.

He's now lost two games on the spin, and there is every chance that Luke Littler makes it three this week.

Michael has had a few miscounts, some odd finishes and has been carrying a shoulder injury, and I just feel that Luke is the sharper of the players at the minute, which is why I fancy him to get the win.

Michael is not at his best, as I say, and he often looks at the 19s to get him out of jail, so I will be backing Luke Littler to register the most 180s in this match.

I am going to go for this game to go beyond nine legs too.

Yes, I am backing Luke Littler to come through, but Michael will not want to lose this game, so it will be a close one, probably going into a tenth or potentially 11th leg.

I'm also going to throw in a left-field shout here and back one of the players to reel in the big fish.

We saw Luke land perfection as he won his maiden European Tour title on debut on Sunday, and he could very well light up Nottingham with a 170 finish.

He loves the big outs, and he tends to tee up an opportunity more often than anybody else, so I think 7/1 for a 170 finish to be taken out in this game looks a decent shout.
