How will Luke Humphries react to his loss in the final on the UK Open in Minehead at the weekend?

Well, it's anyone's guess really, because he did say that the Premier League, together with the rigours of the UK open over three days, had taken its toll on him.

He will have had a couple of days to recuperate though, and I am expecting a tight-knit affair in the first quarter-final in Brighton on Thursday night.

Gerwyn Price really needs to start showing his form - he disappointed again at the UK Open and he has struggled to get anything going in the Premier League.

I think this one goes 6-4 either way; so I like the look of the 5/6 on offer for the match to go beyond nine legs, whilst I also feel that we will see in excess of five 180s being scored.

Luke is emphatic on that treble 20 bed and Gerwyn is a power scorer too - it's his finishing that has proven his Achilles' heel of late.

I do think he will up his finishing average on Thursday, whether it's enough to win the game or not, I am not so sure, but I do think he will play well and score an average in excess of 97.5.

He knows he has to be in and around the 100 mark to have a chance against the world champion.
