Premier League Darts Bet Boosts: 4/1 Gerwyn Price's streak to continue

We’re offering even bigger prices on selected markets for Night Three of the 2023 Premier League, including a 4/1 double as Gerwyn Price and world champion Michael Smith meet in a blockbuster matchup.

Premier League Darts Night Three
Match-by-Match Guide:

Gerwyn Price (1/1) v Michael Smith (4/5)

1/1 shot Gerwyn Price goes into this match as a slight outsider, but 'the Iceman' will be hoping to stay cool and back up his Night Two heroics with another scalp.

The Welshman's Premier League campaign didn't get off to the greatest of starts, falling at the first hurdle on Night One when losing to Nathan Aspinall.

He did more than make amends on Night Two, however.

In front of a roaring home crowd in Cardiff, Price beat Night One champion Chris Dobey in his opening game, overcame the 110-averaging Michael Van Gerwen in the semi-final, before avenging his loss from the week before by dispatching Aspinall in the final.

It was hardly vintage stuff from the Iceman, who was the only player to win on the night without averaging 100, but he showed his resilience, doing what he had to do when it mattered most.

It is exactly this sort of resilience and grit that should stand him in good stead against Michael Smith, who himself hasn't enjoyed the greatest Premier League campaign so far.

'Bully Boy' also lost his opening game on Night One, in what was a replay of the World Championship final against Van Gerwyn. The man from St. Helens did go one step further on Night Two, eliminating Welshman Jonny Clayton in his own back-yard, but was beaten in the next round by Aspinall.

Whilst Smith (4/5) goes into the game as odds-on favourite, Price will have to fancy his chances to continue the form he picked up in Cardiff and overcome a world champion who has been lacklustre so far this campaign.

Nathan Aspinall (11/5) v Michael van Gerwen (4/11)

Despite not going home with maximum points on either of the first two weeks of this year's Premier League, Van Gerwen has arguably been the most impressive of the eight players.

The Dutchman has thrown an average of at least 100 in three of his five matches so far, and even in those where he didn't he still out-scored his opponents. He has also been impressive with his checkouts, providing ton-plus finishes in all but one of his matches.

You could argue that Van Gerwen has been unlucky not to finish either night in top spot, having narrowly missed out in the Night One final against Chris Dobey and lost to Night Two's champion Gerwyn Price in the semi-final, despite averaging over 110.

Given how impressive he has been, it is no surprise that he is the strongest favourite at 4/11 to win his opening match on Night Three.

He faces a worthy opponent in Night Two finalist Nathan Aspinall (11/5), who himself has impressed with his relentless attack on the trebles, but the Dutchman has won in his last six meetings against the Asp, and his recent form looks sure to culminate in something special.

Peter Wright (8/13) v Dimitri van den Bergh (13/10)

Peter Wright is 8/13 to notch his first Premier League win of the campaign, after losing to eventual winner Chris Dobey on Night One as well as finalist Nathan Aspinall on Night Two.

It has been a disappointing start for the two-time world champion but, given his two victors have ended up in each night's final, his winless start can perhaps be forgiven.

If ever there was a time for Snakebite to get his first Premier League win of the campaign, it's on Night Three.

The Scotsman will be playing in front of a home crowd at Glasgow's OVO Hydro, and he is sure to garner plenty of support given that he is the only Scottish player this year, with compatriot and World Cup winning partner Gary Anderson missing out on a spot in this year's iteration of the competition.

If a home crowd wasn't motive enough for Snakebite then the form of his opponent may also help his cause.

Dimitri van den Bergh was perhaps a shock inclusion in this year's Premier League after an underwhelming 2022, and with the Belgian only winning once in his last ten meetings against Wright, the Scotsman will be confident he can shed his maiden tag.

Van den Bergh (13/10) is sure to make it a test though, with the Belgian eager to improve his record against Wright, beat him in front of his home crowd and ultimately prove that he is worthy of his place in the Premier League.

Jonny Clayton (8/11) v Chris Dobey (11/10)

Since his outstanding year in 2021 where he won the World Grand Prix, Masters, World Series Finals and, of course, the Premier League, Jonny Clayton has been a little underwhelming.

In this year's Premier League, the Welshman is yet to win a game. Granted, he did show glimpses of class in his Night One opener against Dimitri van den Bergh where he averaged 101, but he struggled to put it all together and the Belgian danced to a comfortable 6-2 victory.

On Night Two, in front of a home crowd, he went crashing out at the first hurdle again; in his match against Michael Smith he averaged just 89, the worst average of this year's Premier League so far.

Despite this, he finds himself 8/11 favourite to taste victory against Night One champion Chris Dobey (11/10)

It may come as a surprise that the Welshman is favourite, though.

Dobey is riding a wave of fantastic form after 'Hollywood' earned a last-minute place in the Premier League following his 2023 Masters win, going on to prove he's no flash in the pan by winning Night One in impressive fashion.

En route to that Night One final win, he threw more maximums than anyone and also hit the only 170 checkout of the season so far.

He did crash out in his first game on Night Two, but he was losing to the eventual winner of the night and he ran Gerwyn Price close - taking him right to a deciding leg.

At the odds, there could be an upset on the cards.
