The fixtures for the 2025/26 Premier League season has been released and there are no matches scheduled for Boxing Day or New Year's Day.
Boxing Day is traditionally one of the most popular days in the Premier League calendar and last season was no different with eight matches staggered across four different kick-off times.
The fixture release for this season indicates all matches have been listed for Saturday 27th December, the day after Boxing Day.
However, the Premier League has clarified that the matches pencilled in for Saturday 27th December are available to switch to Boxing Day for live broadcast.
Top-flight teams will be in action again on 30th December when another full round of 10 matches will be held.
Like the aforementioned fixtures on the 27th December, the matches pencilled in for the 30th December are subject to change due to live TV broadcast, meaning there is the likelihood of a match being rescheduled for New Year's Day.
No Premier League club will be requested to play twice in fewer than 48 hours at the end of the calendar year, and each club will have a home match on either 27th December or 3rd January.
