The Republicans are odds-on favourites to win the 2028 US Presidential Election following Donald Trump's victory in the 2024 vote.
(Odds will display when market is available).
On 5th November 2024, Donald Trump of the Republican Party was elected as the 47th President of the United States, overseeing Vice President Kamala Harris of the Democrats by earning 279 electoral votes.
Trump's victory means the 78-year-old will become only the second President in American history to serve non-consecutive terms in the Oval Office following Grover Cleveland, with the former business tycoon previously serving between 2017 and 2021.
As per the 22nd Amendment of the US Constitution, Trump will not be permitted to run for a third term, meaning that the Republicans will be required to select a new candidate ahead of the 2028 Presidential Election.
It is also unclear who will emerge as the nominee for the Democrats ahead of 2028 following Kamala Harris' crushing defeat.
The Republicans are currently narrow favourites over the Democrats to win the 2028 US Presidential Election.
