Philipp Lahm was the man who lifted the trophy as Germany beat Argentina 1-0 to win the 2014 World Cup.
The former full-back featured at three World Cups during his career and played a total of 20 times on the world stage.
He played every minute of each of those 20 appearances across the 2006, 2010 and 2014 tournaments.
Incredibly, he was also named in the official team of the tournament on each occasion.
Five days after lifting the World Cup, Lahm announced his retirement from international football at the age of 30 and he goes down as one of his country's best ever players.
Bastian Schweinsteiger replaced Lahm as captain and he is the player who played the most World Cup matches alongside the former Bayern Munich man.
Towering centre-back Per Mertesacker and striker Miroslav Klose, who is Germany's all-time leading goalscorer at the tournament, are also prominent on the list of players to have played the most matches alongside Lahm.
World Cup-winning goalkeeper Manuel Neuer also features in the top ten, with the likes of Mesut Ozil and former Golden Boot winner Thomas Muller also on the list.
