The four-time capped England international enjoyed six trophy-laden years at the Etihad Stadium, despite making just two appearances for the club.

His spell in Manchester is set to come to an end this month after the club opted against extending his deal for the forthcoming 2025/26 Premier League campaign.

Carson, who initially arrived on loan from Derby County in 2019, went on to complete a permanent switch to the Citizens in 2021, and spent much of his time there as third-choice behind Ederson and Stefan Ortega, registering just 117 minutes of action.

His sole Premier League appearance came in an enthralling 4-3 victory over Newcastle United in May 2021 where the stopper produced a key penalty save, before he featured in the UEFA Champions League for the only time against Sporting Lisbon 12 months later.
