Players named in Spain's Euro 2024 squad

We take a look at the players named in Spain's winning Euro 2024 squad.

Inexperience was a concern for many when assessing Spain's winning credentials ahead of the Euros but those concerns were soon addressed in the most emphatic style.

La Roja ran out 2-1 winners in the final against England with Real Sociedad forward Mikel Oyarzabal firing an 86th minute winner.

The game wasn't without drama as Nico Williams opened the scoring before eventual Player of the Tournament Rodri was forced off at half-time through injury.

England got themselves back into the game through a Cole Palmer equaliser but they could not repel a late Spanish attack.

Euro 2024 also acted as a breakthrough tournament for Barcelona star Lamine Yamal.

The winger was named Young Player of the Tournament after registering four assists (a joint-record for a single tournament) as well as producing a magical strike against France that was named Goal of the Tournament.

A total of six players were named in the UEFA Team of the Tournament with Marc Cucurella, Dani Olmo, Fabian Ruiz and Nico Williams joining the aforementioned Rodri and Yamal in the XI.
