We take a look at every Players Championship Finals winner since Phil Taylor reigned supreme at the inaugural staging of the event at the Circus Tavern in Purfleet back in 2009.
Michael van Gerwen is the most prolific winner of the Players Championship Finals, capturing the coveted crown a record seven times.
It is a remarkable achievement for the Dutch star who has reached the final of the event nine times in his 16 all-time appearances - going on to win the event seven times since 2013.
Phil Taylor is the only other player to hold three or more titles, claiming the £50,000 top prize on its inaugural staging back in 2009, before going on to reign supreme in both 2011 and 2012 - either side of Kevin Painter's solitary success.
Luke Humphries captured the title twice in 2023 and 2024, but was unsuccessful in his quest to land a hat-trick in 2025, with Luke Littler adding his name to the honours list.
'The Nuke' is one of six players to have lifted the trophy once, alongside Painter, Paul Nicholson, Gary Anderson, Daryl Gurney and Peter Wright.
