We take a look at every Players Championship Finals winner since Phil Taylor reigned supreme at the inaugural staging of the event at the Circus Tavern in Purfleet back in 2009.
Michael van Gerwen is the most prolific winner of the Players Championship Finals, capturing the coveted crown a record seven times.
It makes remarkable reading for the Dutch star who has reached the final of the event nine times in his 15 all-time appearances - going on to win the event seven times since 2013.
Phil Taylor is the only other player to hold multiple titles, claiming the £50,000 top prize on its inaugural staging back in 2009, before going on to reign supreme in both 2011 and 2012 - either side of Kevin Painter's solitary success.
'The Artist' is one of six players to have lifted the trophy once, alongside Paul Nicholson, Gary Anderson, Daryl Gurney, Peter Wright and 2023 champion Luke Humphries.
Ten other players have reached the final without claiming the title, including both Adrian Lewis and Mervyn King who have the misfortune of losing on both occasions that they have reached the tournament's showpiece.
