Pat McCormack will take on Robbie Davies Jr in an all-British welterweight clash on the undercard of Jack Catterall v Arnold Barboza Jr in Manchester and bet365's boxing expert Rob Tebbutt has picked out the betting value ahead of the bout.
Pat McCormack and Robbie Davies Jr meet on the Catterall v Barboza Jr undercard in a 10-round welterweight clash.
McCormack has struggled for activity since turning professional, with this representing just his seventh bout in almost three years in the paid ranks.
However, his talent is undeniable and he is a rightful favourite over Davies Jr.
While Davies Jr has competed at a good level throughout his career, including one of the contests of 2024 against Sergey Lipinets, those bouts were down at 140lbs.
McCormack, on the other hand, is a fully-fledged welterweight, who has boxed as heavy as 157lbs as a pro.
I feel this is a fight that McCormack will enjoy all of the physical advantages and I expect him to get the stoppage, perhaps early in the fight, depending on Davies Jr’s ability to hold a shot up at 147lbs.
