Parramatta Eels have been hit by another injury blow with the news Waqa Blake is facing an indefinite spell on the sidelines with a knee issue.
The Eels have got the 2022 NRL campaign off to a great start but they are not being helped by an injury list that seems to grow by the week.
Maika Sivo, Haze Dunster and Sean Russell are already missing from Brad Arthur’s backline and now Blake can be added to the treatment room.
The winger managed to play just 29 minutes of the narrow victory over the Gold Coast Titans at the weekend and scans have since shown he has suffered an MCL injury.

The Eels have on Monday issued a statement confirming the injury setback. And to make matters worse they are also unable to give a time frame on the player’s return to action.
"Waqa Blake has been sidelined indefinitely after suffering an MCL injury in Saturday's game against the Titans," the statement read. "Blake had scans yesterday to confirm the injury. His exact return date is unknown, but he will be out for an extended period of time."
The Eels sit fourth on the NRL ladder with a 4-1 record for the season so far, but they now face a tough run of games.
After the clash with the Wests Tigers on Easter Monday they must then face the Newcastle Knights, North Queensland, Penrith Panthers and the Sydney Roosters.
