Daryll Neita will be desperate to put her 100m anguish behind her after finishing an agonising four-hundredths of a second off a bronze medal at the weekend, as she goes for gold in the 200m sprint final on Tuesday.
The Britisher athlete came through her semi-final in second place, behind the United States' Brittany Brown, in 22.24 - narrowly quicker than teammate Dina Asher-Smith, who clocked 22.31 in her semi-final.
American Gabrielle Thomas is the gold medal favourite however following the withdrawal of Jamaican Shericka Jackson, with the Atlanta native notching the fastest time in the semi-finals with 21.86, ahead of St Lucia's 100m champion Julien Alfred (21.98).
