Great Britain won silver in both Olympic triathlons three years ago but there are high hopes that they could strike gold in both the men's and women's events in Paris.
Alex Yee is favourite for the men's triathlon on Tuesday morning, while Beth Potter is vying for favouritism with Cassandre Beaugrand of France in the women's event on Wednesday.

Great Britain's Alex Yee is favourite for gold in the men's triathlon in Paris but he faces no shortage of high-class challengers in what looks a fascinating race.
Yee was second in the men's event in Tokyo, when he also won gold in the mixed team relay, and the most important pointer for this challenge is that won the Olympic test event over the course last year.
Yee looks like the man to beat this time around but there is little margin for error in such a talented field.
New Zealand's Hayden Wilde was third in this event three years ago and, like Yee, will be hunting for a higher step on the podium this time.
Wilde and Yee have been the top performers in the World Triathlon Championship Series over the last couple of seasons and the 26-year-old, who won the silver behind Yee at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, could again throw down the strongest challenge to the British star.
Kristian Blummenfelt of Norway was the gold medallist in Tokyo but has not been able to maintain his form over the past two seasons and it would be a surprise if he can frank the form from three years ago.
France have a couple of lively challengers in Dorian Coninx and Leo Bergere, who have won the last two world championships between them and rate a danger to all as they will be spurred on by a home crowd.
America's Morgan Pearson is in fine form, while Australia's Matt Hauser is another contender to watch. The Commonwealth Games bronze medallist has shown up well in some top triathlons this season and has a strong chance of getting into medal contention.

World champion Beth Potter represents Great Britain's best chance of gold in the women's triathlon. The Scottish athlete took part in the 10,000m event at the 2016 Rio Olympics, so will fancy her chances if she is anywhere near the front of the pack after the swimming and cycling stages.
She has come into her own in her new event over the last two seasons and also won the Paris Olympics test event last summer.
Cassandre Beaugrand has a strong chance of providing France with a home win in the triathlon and will be the crowd favourite throughout the cycling and running stages.
She put in an impressive run to win the recent world championship triathlon in Hamburg (with Potter in third place) and was part of the French team who took bronze in the team relay in Tokyo. She is currently first in the world rankings.
Tokyo champion Flora Duffy has recovered from injury and is set to put up a strong defence of her title at the age of 36.
The Bermudan is a legend in the triathlon world having won four world titles and two Commonwealth Games golds in addition to her success in the last Olympics.
France also have Emma Lombardi, ranked third in the world, to call upon, while Georgia Taylor-Brown, silver medallist for Britain in Tokyo, is also in the field.
Like Duffy, her preparations have been hammered by injuries and she will have a point to prove after suffering a costly puncture on the final lap of the cycling stage three years ago.
