The Stade de France is set to host a blockbuster evening of athletics with Noah Lyles looking to follow in Usain Bolt's footsteps and capture an Olympic sprint double.
The men’s 200m final will be broadcast on the BBC, BBC iPlayer, Eurosport and Discovery Plus.
The men's 200m final will take place at 19:30 BST, on Thursday 8th August.
Noah Lyles is aiming to become the first man to hold both the 100m and 200m Olympic titles since the legendary Usain Bolt in 2016, boasting a personal best of 19.31 seconds.
Lyles is bidding to become the second man in history to capture two Olympic 200m golds after Bolt.
Lyles took bronze in the 200m in Tokyo, finishing just 0.12 seconds behind gold medallist Andre De Grasse - less than the difference in reaction times between the two.
Lyles is the reigning world champion, having captured gold at the 2019, 2022 and 2023 World Championships.
Second favourite, Letsile Tebogo, who beat Lyles in their semi-final, took bronze in the 200m at the 2023 World Championships, and has a personal best of 19.5 seconds.
The Olympic record in the 200m is 19.30 seconds, set by Bolt in 2008.
