Team GB hopeful Josh Kerr will bid to win Olympic gold in the 1500m as he gets set to go head-to-head in a compelling tussle with Norwegian sensation Jakob Ingebrigtsen in Paris.
The men's 1500m final will be broadcast on the BBC, BBC iPlayer, Eurosport and Discovery Plus.
The men's 1500m final is scheduled to begin at 19:50 BST on Tuesday 6th August 2024.
Norway's Ingebrigtsen enters the 1500m final as favourite after breaking the Olympic record at this distance to claim the gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Games.
The Norwegian's Olympic champion status is under huge threat from Great Britain's Josh Kerr in Paris, however, with the Scotsman having beaten him to gold at the World Championships in 2023.
Both extremely self assured and confident of victory, this developing rivalry has emerged as one of the hottest talking points of this summer's Olympics.
Intriguingly paired in the same semi-final lineup, Ingebrigtsen was able to cross the line under a second ahead of Kerr.
One of Team GB's biggest athletics stars in Paris, Kerr's confidence ahead of the Olympics will have been buoyed by his victory over Ingebrigtsen in the Bowerman Mile at the Diamond League in May, breaking a British record in the process.
